Helena Korpela

Finnish-Irish artist Helena Korpela is interested in vernacular buildings of rural areas, as well as the patterns and shapes of agricultural land and towns.  Her work often comments on the changes in the natural and built landscapes, and on rural and urban environments under modern stresses.  She studied at the Massachusetts College of Art in Boston, and her work is in collections in the US, Ireland and Finland.
