Considered one of the more exciting painters of his generation, Jonathan Hunter is a master of colour. In his vibrant exploration of landscape, often populated by figures, Hunter allows his paintings to develop organically and seemingly spontaneously.
Born in England and educated in England, he also took an MA in painting at the National College of Art & Design in Dublin. He now lives and works in Dublin, where he has show at the Hillsboro Gallery and the Kevin Kavanagh Gallery. His work has been included in numerous RHA Annuals, and featured in galleries in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Cardiff and London, and Malaga and Granada in Spain.
